I discovered how to take screenshots of the trailer, so here are the eight characters for the first game. Please forgive the low quality-ness... but they're still pretty cool. Oh... and just in case you can't read them, I'll type the names and titles (plus Phase) above the pictures.
Haseo: The Terror of Death (yes, just like Skeith)

Atori: The Mirage of Deceit (Innis)

Kuhn: The Propagation (Magus)

Yata: The Prophet (Fidchell)

Sakubo: The Machinater (Gorre)

Endrance: The Temptress (Macha)

Pai: The Avenger (Tarvos)

Ovan: The Rebirth (Corbenik)

A few things have happened since last time... I found Christina's Xanga site which resulted in my actually talking to her recently... that makes me happy since it's been a little bit since I actually talked to her... even when I visited Hume-Fogg a little bit ago, I didn't get to stay and chat with people for long, so I'm always happy to talk to my friends. Unfortunately... I may have messed things up with Brittney because I don't understand... even though I said I didn't care if she never talked to me again because I told her people care about her... I don't really want her to snub me... *le sigh.* As far as school goes... got the top grade on the first Honors Chemistry exam this semestre which makes me very proud... even though I didn't tell anyone that I did it... only the teacher and I and now you know. The manga board is stagnating a bit because I don't have the money for new manga and food at the same time... so... yeah... I think people are getting bored with my crappy selection... -_- At least they aren't being mean about it at all... in fact, no one really says anything... they're all too polite... and I... I think we're decent enough friends that it doesn't matter at this point. I'm hesitant to say that... because I'm not sure how to speak for others... but I consider them my friends. Today was interesting by the way... we hung around the Cyber Cafe until after midnight and, I must say, the conversations were horribly perverse tonight considering the proximity (well... the arrival of now) of Valentine's Day. Lots of phallic humor (oh the discomfort for me...), lots of messing with Megan who isn't as bad as me, but still holds a moral high ground in regards to relationships, lots of messing with me for the same reason... except with the added joy of seeing the faces I make. Do I really look that funny when I'm disgusted? Oh well... anyway, it's time for my truly great-yet-unfortunately-not-anime news:
Oh my G'friskin'God... there's a new .hack// series coming out and it looks blinkin awesome! I haven't been this excited since Seikai no Senki III came out! The new game's called .hack//G.U. which stands for Grow Up and it's going to be a trilogy along with a manga release (which is already running in Japan) and an anime (which comes out in April). The new game seems a whole lot... darker than the old games. Apparently, a fire destroyed Cyber Connect's servers something like seven years or so after the games and The World was severely damaged. CC Corp rereleased the game with some patchwork corrections, but the changes didn't fix things to the way they were before. Player Killers run rampant and unopposed throughout The World; Four Guilds have arisen to hold the seats of power within the game's political structures; and something is happening again. The main character in GU is named Haseo and he's a PKK (that is, a player killer killer... a vigilante) and he's searching for a PK named Tri-Edge of whom it is said that those he kills can never return to the game again. There's an awe inspiring trailer posted around the web... you can get it at the official site or just google it... which explains a lot more and will show you something VERY interesting in regards to Tri-Edge. Oh... I'm just itching to play this, but it won't be released in Japan until May... so I won't get it until much later... Oh, but it's sooooooo coooool!!! There are new classes (like a multi-weapon class *Haseo's one*), a revised battle system, a new art style that looks pretty cool, good character voices (in Japanese... there aren't any english seiyuu chosen yet... and I'll only play the game with Japanese voice over anyway... I trust the Japanese more than us after comparing the voice overs in the first games), and a storyline that promises oh so much... I'm so excited! Here... go here http://thewafflehouse.net/hackGU.php for some manga scans... and here http://www.dothackers.net/ for tons of .hack//GU info and the glorious trailer. Check out the Cyber Connect website too, if you want... though it's a might bit less than helpful for the curious... just taunts you with cool pictures and limited descriptions.

Sorry that it's not an anime review today... but it will be next time. It's just that I really wanted to shout out to the world how much I'm looking forward to .hack//G.U. Now... if you'll excuse me... I need to sleep and prepare for the International Day of Lonely Singles... -_- curse you Saint Valentine...
PS- Don't worry about me moaning about my lack-of-girlfriendness anymore after this... I just need to get past this "Holiday" and I'll be back to normal... Happy Valentine's everybody...

Hmm... nothing much is going on. I've been hanging out with anime club people and gaming a lot. I guess I've been staying up too late though... I missed my first class yesterday and it started at 9:40... not good. I finished off both endings for Radiata Stories and I'm playing both Wild Arms and Dark Cloud 2 off and on... Found a nice NES emulator and I've been playing the crap out of Megaman 2 (the best one, hands down). I found a cool group called Project X who made an album of Megaman music except with real instruments instead of old Nintendo synth stuff. The website for that is http://www.zebox.com/projectx/ and I highly recommend downloading the music; it's awesome. I've been drawing some more and writing a bit too... and the bittorrent has picked up again so I finished a lot of series that I hadn't before like SHUFFLE! and Rozen Maiden. Got Mai HiME too along with Shakugan no Shana. I also heard about this other series called Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora ~Looking Up at Half-Moon~ and I'm waiting for the torrent to finish downloading now... but I think it'll be a bit. Got a bunch of manga too and the Pre-Manga Review Board's been reading them... I hope this little club keeps going after I transfer next year...
I guess I should get on with the review though, hmm? I'm going to tackle Rozen Maiden and Rozen Maiden: Traumend today, which are really both part of the same series, it's just that Traumend is the follow up. The story starts in Rozen Maiden as Sakurada Jun gets a strange doll by ordering it online named Shinku who has magic powers and is destined to become the perfect being called Alice. Well, it turns out that Shinku is one of seven dolls made by a master doll-maker named Rozen who created them all as pieces of perfection who are to fight each other to become last one, the one who will be named Alice. The other dolls are Hinaichigo, a very cute and childlike one who uses rose vines to attack, Suiseiseki, who is selfish and mean while at the same time possesing of a good heart and who uses thick vines to attack, Souseiseki, a quiet and matter of fact tomboy who uses his gardening sheers to attack, Suigintou, the villain of the first series who does everything for Rozen and attacks with black feathers, Kanaria, self-centered yet childlike and using a violin's sound to attack, and Barasuisho, the villain of Traumend who hardly ever speaks and uses purple crystal spears to attack. Um... and I guess I should describe Shinku too... she's dignified and thoughtful... slightly stuck up, but still very kind; Shinku uses rose petals to attack, but she doesn't like fighting and leads the resistance against the Alice Game (where the dolls fight to become Alice) with Hinaichigo, Suiseiseki, kind of Souseiseki, and kind of Kanaria. The storyline is really mostly about Jun for Rozen Maiden because he's got some serious psychological issues and never goes to school anymore... but that doesn't change the fact that Rozen Maiden is actually very funny, cute, and, at times, romantic. These themes carry into the second season too, even as the focus shifts to the Alice game through Suiseiseki and then Shinku's perspective. It made me so happy when Suiseiseki (who's my favorite character) ended up having feelings for Jun... I don't want it to work out though because I think Jun and Hinaichigo's old Medium should be together, but it's the fact that Suiseiseki was really cute trying to do things for Jun while at the same time trying to hide how she felt from the others. Hmm... but maybe that's almost a spoiler, huh? Sorry about that... but you should go and watch Rozen Maiden anyway because it's pretty good. I think it deserves an 8.5/10 because I like it a bunch, but it's not an instant classic.
Sorry that there're no real links today... except that Project X one... but if you want one for Rozen Maiden then just go to animesuki because it's not licensed yet. Um... please forgive the long leave of absense, by the way... I'll try and come back more soon... maybe...

Hmm... I just got back half an hour ago and I checked my email to find Brittney has posted a whole friggin lot recently... I hope she's okay, that Homecomming rant made me worry about her... but I realize now that it's been enough time that she's already VERY over it... Doesn't change the fact that I'm worried though. That's the last time I don't check my email for a week... I would've talked to her on AIM or something, but she wasn't on... just Alex... and I'd really rather not talk to Alex... VERY much no... *sanity drops to 6 under all this stress* Man... I should be typing the next chapter for my Harvest Moon fanfic (there I said it... I've dropped so low as to write fanfics now.... laugh everyone, you know you want to) but I'm really worried... Hey Brittney, you're okay right? Don't make me start asking awkward questions like who it was that you liked who was your friend. Don't make me speculate online openly as I await a response. You do realize that that personality thing has made me oh so very curious, right? ....... Well, that's enough of that... I guess since I'm here, I'll write a review to take my mind off things before I go back to writing the fanfic.
Recently, I've acquired Pretear and it's very good... well, after the first five or six episodes. Pretear is about a girl, Himeno, who meets four magical bishounen, Hayate, Sasame, Kei, and Go, as well as three little boys, Mannen, Hajime, and Shin, who tell her that she is the Pretear who defends the lifeforce of the world from the Princess of Disaster (or something like that). Anyway, the first few episodes establish the minor characters, but are rife with magical girl transformations and *ehem* interestingly placed lights where her powers originate. After that though, they lay off the male fanservice and Pretear becomes very good... a lot more shojo. There are complicated love triangles, betrayals, and a general building of storyline as the show progresses. It's quite awesome and emotional, which of course means that I liked it. The opening was also good in my opinion, but then I like eighties and early nineties music, so I'm not sure how other people feel about White Destiny (the song). Overall, I give Pretear a seven out of ten since I like it, but the beginning really is too much. I really don't like lewd magical girl sequences.
Well, I've calmed a bit, but that doesn't mean I don't want to talk to Brittney soon. I guess that I'll write about Futakoi next time since my bittorrent is finally picking up again. So, after I get in touch with Brittney and finish writing this week's chapter of the fanfic, you guys/ girls should look forward to it, please. Seihn out.

Hey everyone, just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving. I'm not going to review anything today, but I will suggest that over the break, everyone should read a little bit of the wonder of webcomics. My personal favorites are Megatokyo and Applegeeks (those poor misguided Mac users... *ducks sword from Eve*). To give a taste of the wonder of these two comics (and because I figured out how to post images yesterday) I give to you my favorite strips from these two comics (copyright info's on the bottom of the comics):
Applegeeks http://www.applegeeks.com

Megatokyo http://www.megatokyo.com

Enjoy the happiness of a break from school... if only exams weren't just around the corner. Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow... now go and read these webcomics. Seihn out.
